Description: Conference Challenges will test college football fans' ability to predict games on a week to week basis within a selected conference. Contestants will choose a conference to play and predict every conference game for that week. Contestants will compete against other fans throughout the entire season for the chance to win weekly and season points as well as earn virtual hardware and recognition in the Trophy Room. Just like in college football, your record will determine your success.

How To Play: Click the desired conference's logo above and follow the on screen instructions. Those instructions are as follows. Select which team you think will win each game by selecting the option button next to that team. Next, enter the level of confidence you have in each of your selections using the confidence numbers provided. This will depend on how many games there are for that contest and that week. For instance, if there are eight Big East games for the Big East contest in a given week, you will see numbers 1-8 inside each game. An 8 would represent your most confident selection while a 1 would represent your least confident selection. So however many games there are for a selected contest in a given week, that number will represent the highest confidence point value and 1 will always represent the least confidence point value. Simply change the numbers around to fit the confidence of your selections.
Each participant may submit up to one entry per contest and only two participants per IP address are permitted. Your latest entry will always overwrite any previous entry.
Scoring: Scoring will be based on your win-loss record for that week of games. The games you pick correctly will add the confidence points you assigned to them. Any games picked incorrectly will forfeit assigned confidence points for that game. Any of the six conference contests you play throughout the season will accumulate your records and points for those contests so if you play multiple contests each week, be sure to play those conferences every week for the best chance to win season ending prizes and awards. You may view your updated record, points and standings among other participants following each weekend of games. These cumulative standings are used to give out prizes and awards to the top ten finishers and the end of the season. The standings will be located under Standings on the main menu when available. These standings rank you among others based on the CFBRating. The CFBRating is simply your winning percentage multiplied by your total points. For example, if a participant has a record of 26-10(.722) with 127 points at a given time during the season, his CFBRating will be calculated as 127 x 0.722 = 104.72. This gives a natural advantage to those who play more often because they will accumulate more points.
Deadline to Play: Saturdays at Noon ET unless there is a conference game on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. For instance, the Big East plays a lot of Thursday and Friday games so most of the Big East contests will have lock times by Thursday or Friday nights. An email will be sent out on Tuesdays with alerts of any Wed./Thurs./Fri. contest starts and they will be posted under the images above. Contests will lock and become inaccessible at the announced time so be sure to make your picks before the lock times or you will not be able to play that week.

Prizes: The top ten finishers in each conference standings at the end of the season will receive CFBPoints as outlined in the table below. In addition, any outright weekly winner will be awarded 1,000 points. Any ties in placement will result in splitting the total point value for the tied placements between the contestants.
To be eligible for end of season prizes that go to the best accumulated records, you must play a minimum of 75% of that contest's games. Minimum participation requirements to be eligible for end of season prizes are shown below.
- ACC → 73 games or approx. 11 of 13 weeks
- Big 12 → 73 games or approx. 11 of 13 weeks
- SEC → 73 games or approx. 11 of 13 weeks
- Big Ten → 66 games or approx. 9 of 12 weeks

Any ties will split cash prizes between the winners. All cash prizes will be sent via PayPal to the email address registered on this site. If you do not have a PayPal account, you will receive an email upon winning a contest, with easy instructions for creating a PayPal account.

Trophies, Medals and Accolades: There are 25 trophies associated with conference contests. These include six conference prediction champion trophies and 19 record-holder trophies. Trophies won by members will be displayed in the Trophy Room and in the member's profile trophy case. In addition to virtual hardware, Top 25 Challenge Champions and current record holders will reserve a placing on the College Football Winners Wall.
1. Each conference champion will be awarded a silver football trophy for the conference that was won. There are six different trophies, one for each BCS conference.
2. The player who holds the record for the most all-time Conferences Challenge Championships gets to carry one of four all-time record trophies until someone else surpasses his mark.
3. Each conference contest carries three single-season records with it for a total of 18 record trophies. Records are kept in the categories of CFBRating, record and confidence points from a given conference's final standings. Once any of these records get reset, the trophy will change hands.
